Engine bay paint?

Ok, so within this next month, I am going to be putting my new motor in. While the motor is out I was thinking of painting the engine bay. I dont have a garage to work in, and I was wondering the best way to do this and to still have it look good. My plans are to do it flat black. Cleaning the engine bay is a certainty. I was figuring spraying the ***** out of it with carb cleaner and taking a pressure washer to it to clean it up alot. Then from there, what would I go about doing to get it ready for paint? I don't think i will be able to afford a TRUE paintjob, so even rattle canning it flat black might look good?

Well for my personal preference. I would probably choose using rattle cans as my very least option. If you are not confident with your painting abilities better seek for professional assistance.
