New Paint...now what?
I had my 86 z28 repainted. It was stripped down to metal and sprayed with base/clear coat. The guy didn't do anything after the clear like polish or buffing.
Since i got it back, i've just waxed it by hand a few times.
There are 2 spots about the size of a spare tire that look cloudy. Can i remove those? If so, how? Plus, i'm not sure, but the paint just doesn't look deep or shiny enough...hard to explain, but it just doesn't pop like it should.
Does anyone have any advise? I don't know much about detailing. I rarely drive the car and it remains under a shed with a full cover.
Attached are some pics...

Re: New Paint...now what?
How fresh is the paint job? You don't want to apply wax to a fresh paint job.....until maybe a month after it has been sprayed. You can polish it...but not wax it.
It sounds like he didn't wetsand or buff it....that's why your not getting the "depth" your looking for. Do you know how many coats of clear he sprayed?

This is whats next if you want that show room shine. Color sanding and buffing. (I seriously recommend a professional doing the job.)

I know it is showing a truck. I could not find this article with a 3rd.gen.
