Formula Hood
So I've been looking into getting a Formula hood for my car, replacing the current one with the vents. I've been talking to some of my friends and my father, and they don't think it'll look right for some reason. I think it would look great, so I'm not sure where they're coming from.
Can I get some opinions on this? I have an '87 T/A, Red w/ silver GFX, with black crosslaces.
Also, does anyone have pics of a Formula hood on a 85-90 T/A?

I had a formula hood on my gta for many years. I love it. You should go for it.

Re: Formula Hood
I think that would look great. I put an 83 turbo bulge hood on my 91' and it looks good. It matches the lines very well, even with the 91' GFX. I have seen the bulge hood on 85-90 T/As before. Heres a pic of an 85-90 with one, IIRC this car belongs to a member here. I think it looks great.

Thanks for the replies!
It looks great on both of those cars, as I thought it would.

Re: Formula Hood
That is what I am doing with my car. I did not like te 91 style so am putting on all 85-90 bumpers and ground effects with the formula style hood. I really like the way it looks. Most of the parts came with the car.

Re: Formula Hood
just chiming in with an opinion
I think it looks a bit plain on the 85-90 T/As GTAs. The bulge hood is very sleek and clean - and I think this suits the non - GFX T/As and Formulas well. Though I haven't seen a pic, I think it would also go well with the more swoopy 91-92 Banshee styled T/As
I just think the 85-90 are more aggressive and the vented (albeit faux) bonnet better matches this styling
Best of both worlds would be the bulge with the vents - then again that might be alittle busy!
good luck either way>>
