posting pics......

I think this kinda falls under appearance but it sure would be nice if someone could post a messageboard tech article on HOW TO POST PICTURES ON MESSAGE BOARDS. This would be helpfull for the junior members onlong with seasoned members that just plain forgot. this would spice up the community a bit if there were pictures of things people were talking about. i dont think its a matter of members not having pics to post, but just not knowing how. i shrug my shoulders when i see members post a great post but go on to say they have pics but dont know how to post them. please dont erase this as that im hoping for this post to be read by the right person. thank you.

I totally agree. There are times when I wish there was a pic so I could better understand what that person is talking about. And a lot of times, the reason is because that person can't seem to get the pic posted right or just doesn't know how.

very good Mr. Junior Member. Now instead of wasting your very first post on calling us lazy, maybe you could maybe show that nice ubb link to the less fortunate ones that do not know how to do it. thank you for your feedback. do you have any questions about your f-body? not having money for mods is no excuse since there is a free mods section on the tech page. If I have any more questions on how to do anything, YOU will be the first to know. take care man..

Sorry if I sounded a little too critical there...just having some fun calling people lazy but yeah, the link should be right up there in my earlier post for all the UBB codes you need to post pictures, links, tables, or whatever you might need. On the subject of free mods...aside from being broke, I'm also pretty short on time...but after finals next week I guess I'll have a few weeks to have fun with the old Camaro.

And thanks for the offer on info...if I have any questions I know where to turn...although just browsing the board, I'm getting quite a few answers to questions I don't even need to ask.

o.k. I'll try to explain this so you can understand it....

first you have to upload the pic to a server,(there are lots of free servers here on the net... i.e. xoom, geocities, etc...)
Now once that you have accomplished that you need to know the address of where that is located...
then in the reply area off your post you just put
<"img>http://www.whatevertheaddyis.com/yourride.jpg<"/img> leaving out the quotation marks,
later,

good job Drew, this is exactly why we started this thread. get it down here so when you post elsewhere, you will not mess it up and you wont look so bad infront of the perfectionists.

just to add to this,,,
Some (free) website host do not allow hyper linking to images (like angelfire) and you cannot post an image or link to the picture

If you have no website, you can use places like photopoint.com or webshots.com to upload your pictures to & link to them from there if you want to post them on a message board.

I'm guessing that was the pic you were wanting to show ?

To copy the picture link,, right click the image, select 'properties' & you will get something like this

copy the url link (white arrow) and put it between the ubb tags to post

e.g.

IMG]http://www.angelcities.com/members/gtaz/parts/c/a.jpg[/IMG ,,, add [ & ] marks
where they obviously go and you should have no problems
