Paint hood blisters
Hey guys I'm fixing up my hood this weekend and wanted to know how you guys painted your hood blisters. I'm going with black. Am I just taking them off and straight spray paint?

Re: Paint hood blisters
Yep- they just unbolt. I am going to redo mine properly when I paint the car, but I bought a black Z28 with silver(WTF?!) blisters. They were an eyesore. So I pulled them and painted them matt black with Plastidip rubber coating. It will peel right off when I go to do them properly, but they really look pretty good for a $5 rattle can sprayjob!

Have them painted the right way. Rattle can doesn't hold up well and just causes the painter more work when you do it finally do it right. I've been guilty of rattle canning stuff in the past & regret doing so.

An automotive paint shop. True base coat/clear coat. You can do a fflat black & flat clear if your not wanting the typical shiny body paint.
