Re: Third gen owners other cars pics
I had an 83 Capri 5.0 with the SDOD 4 speed. Are those wheels metric?

Nothing fancy for me. My DD is a 2003 Trailblazer with 216k miles. People are shocked when they hear how many miles it has, lol. It does not show the miles in any way.. The thing runs and drives perfectly, and everything works like it's supposed to....so I just keep piling miles on it. I'd take off across country with it tomorrow

As a bucket list car, I bought this Nissan 370Z fully loaded. I had some difficulty convincing my wife—until she drove it! We took it home the following day. Subaru Forrester is my DD.

Dagwood, I'm a Trailblazer fan here too! Though I regret to say I no longer own my '05 LTZ. I had a lift and bigger tires on mine, but still DD the thing until 200k miles. I sold it for a GMC Sierra, and ultimately my current daily, which is my '14 Silverado. I love full size trucks, but that '05 Trailblazer will hold a special spot in my heart. Longest owned vehicle other than my 89 Iroc. Great car!

Re: Third gen owners other cars pics
Gottta' have a SUV for the junkyard runs !!! My son rolled my first Trailblazer so I found this one with a blown tranny and built it to my taste: 05 LT2,.. Black leather, sunroof, factory touchscreen, BOSE, and a few upgrades too ( AUX mod. EXT front brakes, front / rear drilled & slotted rotors, Aluminum D-shaft, BOSE 'LUX' conversion, roof lights, extra roof racks, aftermarket headlights, clear mirror lenses, SS cluster, Tranny shift kit, resonator delete, ect... ) Got a set of early 03 LTZ wheels for it too - similar to 85-87 IROCs - that I've got almost fully restored, but I'm gonna' have to install those next spring; Don't want to install freshly restored wheels right before a new england winter !

Re: Third gen owners other cars pics
Ive got a pair of W-body Cutlass Supremes that keep the Firebird company in the driveway. All being worked on to some extent from the same massive pile of parts I seem to be able to know where everything goes...for now.
The white one is a 1995 convertible with the DOHC, Shes in a sort of resto project. I dropped the engine/trans/front subframe to fix a heater hose and it snowballed from there. The green and black one is a 1994 and my very first car, it still runs fine but just awaiting the funds to grow to go to the body shop for repair and respray. Years ago a truck backed into the side of it and "totaled" the car but I still drove it for years to save money.

Re: Third gen owners other cars pics
I traded a 2000 Convertible WS6 TA this past weekend. As partial trade, I received this C5, from the 2nd owner of the car, which has 47K miles. It needs some updated wheels, but overall, it is in great shape. This car joins my 91 Formula 350 and my 89 Iroc. The cool thing about the car, when I got it home and popped the hood and it is signed by John Cafaro, who was the designer of the C5.

My high school car that now just collects dust. Only drove it twice this year.
Pickup that used to be my dad's. Had painted in 2004 and stuck in storage. Probably going to have to sell it shortly.
Summer weekend cruiser.
My 2001 Monte Carlo in background that I purchased 1 1/2 years ago due to career change and losing my company vehicle.

Re: Third gen owners other cars pics
My three daily drivers - 99 Blazer (220k), 02 Dakota (230k), and 01 Outback (320k). They may not look like much, but all three are manual and either 4x4 or AWD (and they even have working AC). Sadly the Blazer either spun a bearing or bent a pushrod recently, so it's sidelined (and maybe looking at a V8 swap).
I also just inherited this '69 VW Beetle. Going to restore and EV swap it. Once I finish the Camaro, of course!

Re: Third gen owners other cars pics
2004 545, 2010 M6
The 545 is no slouch, super fun to drive, handles like its on rails. Some say BMW's most complicated car ever built. Many people think they are P.O.S. - but that is because they don't fix them. It packs the N62 4.8L motor, the 1st continuously variable length manifold, the torque never ends from 1 rpm up. Active suspension keeps the car planted. Factory stereo ROCKS!
The M6 packs the S85, a 5.0L V10 BMW built for 5 years. Naturally aspirated, 10 individual throttle bodies, packing 100 HP per cylinder. Engine modeled after F1 race engines, screams at over 8000 RPM. Make sure to use the paddle shifters at WOT, otherwise the center console gear shift will get slammed by your hand. Carbon fiber used on hood to lower center of gravity. Scary fast. Factory speakers DONT ROCK!
But neither are as much fun to drive as the Formula !!

Re: Third gen owners other cars pics
This is my other project car: a '66 Caprice that my father left me when he passed away. It was a bone stocker with whitewalls and hubcaps when I got it. Phase one was a 700R4, Hotchkis suspension, drop spindles & springs and 4-wheel discs. I did Hot Rod Power Tour with it in this configuration a couple years in a row. The low horse big block would barely spin the tires. About this time, I sold my '83 Firebird and used the profits (well, huge loss) to fund phase II, which included an LS swap, new trunk pans, Ridetech air ride, a 59 Impala dash, and a vinyl top delete. It's been apart so long that I bought the Iroc so I'd have something fun to drive until it is completed.

I've been primarily dailying a Yaris recently. A lot cheaper than other cars and less concern about the affect of road salt on it. It does handle some rushed road trips well and can fit an impressive amount on wholesale club store trips.
