Repainting... what Wheels and Hood?

Hey everyone. I've got a 91 Z28 and I'm getting it repainted this spring (the same red color). Since its convienent, I've decided to get a new fiberglass hood to save some weight. Any suggestions? I like the blisters on my hood, but I would really like to shed some pounds. Know of anywhere to get a stock looking fiberglass hood, or a good looking alternative? Im also looking at new wheels - probably the 10 spoke painted 2000 Camaro SS wheels. Any opinions? Would (temporary) rear drum brakes look horrible with these wheels? Thanks, DOug

What will you be doing with your old wheels? Selling them? If so let me know how much you want for them. I'm looking to get rid of my IROC wheels.

As for a hood. I really like the ASCD SS style hood for the Camaro's. They look really awesome.

Anyway let me know about the wheels.

Im still trying to figure out what I'm going to do with the wheels... I may refinish them, or keep them for a winter driving set. If I decide to sell them, though, I'll let you know. Doug

When I repaint my car, I'm getting the IROC Turbo hood from American Sports Car Design. I like it b/c it's fiberglass, looks good, and I'm able to put the hood louvers on it too. You might be able to put the blisters on that hood.
As for wheels, I think I'm going with chrome ZR-1's, 16x8 in front and 17x11 rears. I really want 11" wide rims so can get wider tires to hook better, and the price is reasonable on the ZR-1's at around $1150 for the set I described.

I'd say go with the ASCD SS hood too, if I could afford it that's what I would get.

I like the Turbo Hood for camaros. Go to my website and look at Cobrakillers' car in the members section. His is one of the best looking Camaros I've ever seen.
