Factory cup holders???
I just aquired a set of factory cup holders and was wondering the best way to install these in a door that didn't come with them? I just have the holders and no other part that I know of that is supposed to be connected to...
Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated....

I don't know the part number.... as I bought them off a guy, which would be your best bet. I payed $40 which isn't too bad seeing as they are only cup holders... but considering our cars.... they are a much needed item in my opinion.

That's for sure. The previous owners of our 91 RS had a fondness for Cafe Mocha and they spilled often, apparently. I had to rinse out dried mocha from the window and hatch switches (console, etc). And, wow, what a mess on the seats! It came out, thank goodness, but judging from them the driver must have gotten drenched.
We are using those ones that hang from the window channel at present. From the picture, it looks like a Trans Am part (?). We already snagged one of the Trans Am dash map holders. I painted it with black vinyl paint and made a cardboard template for drilling the attachment holes. Looks great.

Do you think that they make some type of paper holder (similar to the thing infront of the passenger) that can be mounted onto the door inplace of the cup holder. I removed the driverside cup holder because it was rubbing my leg all of the time.

Some of the earlier firebirds (I think from 82-88 or so), had an optional little holder that you could put stuff in, there made of vinyl, and have a metal spring clip sewn inside to keep them closed. I put those on insead of the cupholders, because I kept kicking the cupholders in my 91 I used to own.
The gray thing is my Owners Manual, the little arrow is to show you where I am talking about...
And No, those are not factory all leather door panels...
