Chrome Grille!
Hi everyone, i'm all about making my Camaro different from some of the rest. I was wondering if anyone knew how i could convert my grille into a metallic chrome grille. Without that immitation chrome spray paint that really doesn't shine like the cap says, lol. I mean is there anywhere or anyhow a place could dip that plastic grille into some chrome? I think chrome is really really hot at it's liquid stage so thats what i'm trying to figure out . Hhmmmm, or has anyone ever made like a cast of a Z-28 grille and produced a chrome one? Or does anyone have or know where i can get one? Please let me know! Thanks!

Yeah thats kind of what i'm talking about, except, thats not an original thirdgen Camaro grille. I'm in Newberry, SC. I wonder how they make hub caps with that chrome, the caps are plastic so maybe they could do my grille like that. I just don't where, lol. If anyone has anymore info on this topic, please post, peace out!

like kandied said, chrome hubcaps are actually electroplated plastic. i would start at your local speed shop, see if anyone there can give you any leads.

here in michigan there are shops that electroplate plastic. it's basically chrome plating using electro static charge. same thing that factories do on thier cars.
i don't know what they charge though, i never went through with it. it is possible and there are plenty of shops that do it. check with a local metal plater. they will probably have some good leads.
good luck.
