hood

hi... hey did you get this from g&t fiberglass... i ordered one and if you happen to have pictures that would be great if you can post them or contact me. I am going to put my car in for paint and i would like to view a few others to see what colors are going to bring out the hood best! there were a few on the website but i would like to see how it looks with different colors.. the guys at g&t said they will post new pictures from their clients as they get them in.... they were nice to deal with...

i must say i agree with the gentle about the black hood on a different color car.... it just shouldn't happen!!!

thank you for the info and i hope to see your pictures soon...

I have no way to get pictures on my computer but it does look just like the one on the other cars posted on this board. when I talked to Todd at G&T he said someone on this board tracked down the maker of the origianal hood and gave the # to them (G&T) then they got the mold from the guy who made it years ago. The only diffrence he said was they had to add a lip on the two sides of the hood to make it look better. I will see if they have any pictures to post. I think I will do it flat black just until I can get it painted.

At the bottom of the form where you type in you post, there is a box that says "Attach File". Click the browse button next to it and find the picture file on your computer, then press "Submit Reply" like you always would, and wha-la, you have a picture on your post

And tell those bungholes at GT Auto to post the pics on their own friggin website, lol!

the cowl is much wider than a cowl hood, and the sides go down on an angle instead of straight down like a normal one. imo the jongbloed looks much better and flows with the body of a camaro much better than a cowl hood

How much underhood clearance is gained with this hood? I'm probably going to order one in the next couple of weeks. I was going to do a manifold swap at the same time, just curious how much room I have to play with.

it def. looks better then cowl hoods, except maybe a replica 69 Z/28. They have a very small cowl. i like how the hood lines matches up with the headlight buckets. very nice, and i agree, it does flow with the car.. i could only dream........

Don't they call these hoods "Sunoco" hoods as well. It is by far the best hood for a 3rd gen!!!

The rounded bulgy edges dont flow with the angular lines of a thirdgen AT ALL. Looks like they put too much yeast in it before they baked it. To each his own.
