Repair trunk pull down
Just repair my trunk pull down in my 88 Iroc. The nylon guides were all broken up so I bought a set of replacements from TDS. I had to file them a bit so they would fit but now the unit works smoothly. Thanks TDS!!! For all you guys who are having trouble with their pull downs: it's not that hard to fix!!!

I though mine was really fried until I looked at it closely. The motor ran but it wouldn't raise and lower. So I opened it up and found that the plastic gear was stripped. Chevrolet doesn't stock this part, but Cadillac does! So after paying 3 bucks for it at the Caddy dealer and a little time reassembling, it works like new!! Just be patient and think about what is wrong, it can be fixed.

I pulled about six of the gears out of cadillacs in the bone yard. They haven't had to endure the pull of the weight that we have on the back windows. They all look cherry and I got the parts for less than four bucks. The plastic guides are usually in good condition also. Motors are cheap too.
