Removing carpet for good...?

Has anyone removed their carpet and kept it that way? Mine has holes in it, and i do not have the cash to put in new carpet... but mine is just falling apart.

Would this effect tempature in the car much????

I'm mainly curious if this would look decent, or if my holey carpet looks better... Thanks!

well if you take it out youll find there are wires that run under it in some places and youll have alot more road noise inside the car. I dont really reccomend doing it at all really. Id just save up and get new carpweting for it.

You could probally score a good carpet from the junkyard for a cheap price. I'd clean it up really really good before installing.

i know a guy that did that with a jeep of his... now, that's a jeep, and it was setup for 4x4ing, not a sports car. I say leave it in would be best till you get the $$ to do it and replace it properly. just my opinion.

I made the mistake of taking out my carpet before I had ordered the new carpet. Money got tight, and I had to put off the new carpet for over a month!

Trust me, it gets hot and loud (well, I run an open cutout) Portable BBQ

Mine has been out all summer and it looks like crap-loud and hot too. I found a good section of rear carpet at the yard but for the front, I found a roll of stuff from Wal-Mart that matches- $20. I hope to put it in before the car goes into storage.....
