The only thirdgen "body kit" I've ever seen that looked decent was one of the ASCD Wide Body kits done up to mimick stock, but with the wide body. Guy that went to school with me had it, looked pretty freakin mean. Most of these just look really tacky though, this one included. It makes the GFX pieces be too tall, like double the height of stockers. They look goofy as hell...

**** not I!! (peep the sig.. thats me)

That body kit ultimately looks ****. Ricers are basically kids who try to make their cars look different by purchasing all this plastic body armor, yet in reality they all end up looking the same. Beside that, this junk is too expensive. You are going to scrape like hell on speed bumps and just about anything really. Its likely that you would break the crap, and I can guarantee that it would not be easily replacable. That seems to be a one of a kind kit.

Really, that kit looks like the C4 "mid life crisis" corvettes you see around all the time. The ones that have a full aftermarket body kit with stripes on the side. Thats wack essentially. ******* **** if you will.

I'll tell you exactly what it is. Different. Theres about a 100 good things we could do to our cars that cost as much as that kit. weaher its an engine a tranny or whatever. - i think its good that they are getting out more aftermarket peices- im bored of all the stuff they've had out for 15 years- its nice to see that people still take the pride in improving and making our cars look badass after 21 yrs

wow i didnt expect this much response from this topic but it has been entertaining....seems as though most of you dont like the kit. i decided to send the link to this thread to the maker of the kit so maybe he will improve on it. we definitly need a good kit for our cars, as nice as they are they could use some improvement.

if it was black with zr1 rims, and a SS hood that would probably be enough to draw attention away from the kit and it would make the whole thing look good.

it needs some help IMO, but if it was done right, it would look pretty bad @$$. The vents on the sides need to be round like the GFX on the 91-92 Camaro. I agree the hood should be an SS hood. There's just too much crap on the bodykit itself.....vents, holes, etc. It needs to be more plain and without that ugly @$$ fin on the back. Also the front where the chunk is taken out of it right in the center at the bottom, WTF is with that?

Anyways I gotta get to bed. I have church in 6 hours

Uhh.... these look nothing alike. The front clip is completely different, the sideskirts are similar but not the same, and you don't have the vented fenders or that tacky hood. It definitely doesn't look like yours.

He said it looks almost the same except with no vents. If you compare his car to the photoshopped pic of the Quantum kit with the vents removed above, I think he is right (fenders and hood dont count, thats not body kit stuff). They look very close with only one big difference, the bottom of the front lip. I also agree with him that his version looks much better with no vents.

I'm from hawaii...it only costs me usually under $100 to make a full kit O_o Soon I'm going to be designing a new kit for my car. That one is just a first design and practice kit. Took me about two days to make it haha...the next one I"m going to take my time with it and hopefully come up with something really nice.

OK, I really really really tried to look at this kit critically, and the more I did, the more I HATED it. Others have said it best here - it just does not flow well. The edges and changes on contour are just too abrupt (you can REALLY tell where the kit begins), the aerodynamics of this kit look horrid, if you are going to put scoops on your car, at least make them functional, the wheels in the picture are pathetically small, and the whole thing just looks rushed.

I've seen some kits for the 3rd gen that look good, and otherr add ons that are more than acceptable, but this one is just too tacky for my tastes.

Just my $.02 - and you asked for it!

The back on that car would look alright if there was no cutout. maybe. A little more curve to the sideskirts would make it flow. the front end needs major attention I can't imagine working on the motor. You could make some money plowing snow with the front end in the winter!

if you buy it you can make the money back plowing snow and scooping poop

seriously though, it looks cheesey, i prefer a stock body because they already look good, for a 1000 you can get a decent eye catching paint job without looking tacky. or you can up-grade your engine... but why go fast when its so much more fun to look good

OK, to both DMN and 91rsowner4life...

The answer to your question is this; the ones that WERE out there are no longer in production. I spoke with the designer of the kit that I wanted - a VERY SUBTLE kit I might add, not something out of the gaudy hellhole of r**ers- and he summed it up like this...

The 3rd generation platform people didn't want these kits; the demand wasn't there, so they stopped production (quite recently too). I could get a kit specially made for me, but it would cost 3-4K and getting parts would be a custom order each and EVERY time I wanted anything. Plus, if they were to ever go out of business entirely, the plans would go bye bye (nothing held in escrow unless I want to pay for it).

Also, he said that the 3rd gen crowd was kinda cheap - and that can be evidenced from the desire for many here to "junkyard" parts and refurbish before buying new. I call that frugal and recycling, he called it cheap. Basically, the Camaro/Mustang crowd wanted everything on the cheap, yet wanted to be so unique it hurt. Remember, it may be cool to be "unique" in your design, but one-of-a-kind costs money, how pretty do you want to spend sir/ma'am? You are not going to get cool and unique Champagne designs on a Beer budget, and then try to negotiate Kool-Aid prices! Those customers out there that wanted to drop 1-2K on a kit and then pay a body shop another couple grand to install and paint were few and very very far between.

Basically, the "stock ****’s" as people call them here wanted to put their money into performance, suspension, and interior modifications before they even thought of a body kit. He sold more stuff for the interior and the suspension than he ever did on the kit. He did get alot of tire kickers on the kits, but when people saw the work required and the time involved, most thought their time would be better spent on other projects. Plus, most of the 3rd generation crowd liked the aerodynamics of the IROC look, and were satisfied with paint jobs and interior mods.

So, for all the stock **** haters, welcome to the wonderful world of supply and demand - aka Economics 101. If the demand isn't there, the supply soon disappears into oblivion. I guess in the entire scheme of things, people bought kits for their Civics in vastly greater quantities than they ever do for any Chevy, and EXTREMELY higher than any 3rd generation Camaro. The “stock *****” seem to be the greater population in the Camaro world.

What are you relegated to, well, buying one of the remaining kits on the market and modding it yourself to your tastes, building your own from scratch, or utilizing other dress up methods like rims and paint and other more traditional items. The only kits I see out there anymore are from American Sports Car Design, Erebruni (custom order – not even on their site anymore), and a really over the top one from Euroworks. Then, of course, there will be the one off folks, one of which like I said is not longer making kits.

This, folks, is your lot in life. Happy hunting for that great ‘glass shop that you need in order to get a kit anymore, the 3rd gen Camaro is getting too old to have kit parts stocked anymore! …at least, a UNIQUE kit….

I am no way a stock **** but sorry thats a crap body kit, the front gfx is horrible, that lip in the middle is ugly not to mention it doesnt blend with the straight cuts of the thirdgens (one thing that makes them so aggressive IMO). And the exhaust in the back is too import. Only thing that looks semi nice is the rocket gfx and those aren't even that great. All I can say is:

That poor camaro .

My .02.....Cant say that I hate it as a whole but I know I dont like it. Side Skirts are interesting but need refinement and maybe not so deep. The front and Back however really makes the Car look like just another Generic Import with a Bowtie Badge.

Whats the purpose of the cuts in the center of both the front and back GFX....monorail...makeing it easier to miss small animals....maybe a stunt guy to slide under the car while its moving?

I All for being different with your cars but honestly today all these people trying to be different all end up looking identical..super wing check....overdone Gfx check....super big wheels check(yo i just picked up a sweet set of 22' rims for my Caddy yo)....Exhaust tips in a 12' size...check....4 billion stickers check....

Not too bad

I kind of like the body kit myself.. I think there is too much of an indent where the body kit connects to the car though. If there were some pannels to connect to bottom of the door to flatten the look and sqaur it off a little bit it would be pretty sweet lookin. And the back bumper.. WAAAYYY to much of an indent between the two.. I think it should be flat down into it with a very small line of definition between the bumber and back pannel or non at all.. And thos retarded lines in the back bumber.. Flatten them!!!!! And the spoiler.. Go back to the stock one.. Get a nic fat hood scoop on there.. Not that little tiny winie one... LOL That is all I don't like about that kit. The tires!!!! They suck!! LOL.. Better rims would look nice.. LOL

What is cool? I have a gfx package that makes my car look the way I want it too. There are people that do not like it and people that do. Mine is the Predator Kit which can be purchased from This Site

A body kit is supposed to blend in..
This on simply doesnt.. it just looks like added panels.

Car: too many ...
IMO nobody has ever done the 'complete package' with the Evo kit's. Thats why it looks weird. Its like they attempted to go for that Euro GT style look, but failed to get it 100%. Boring wheels, a lame stance, and cheap looking interior are what ruin it for me. I think with the right wheels, the right stance, the right paint, a 4th gen interior, and a TT V8, it would be closer to the 'complete package.' And honestly I think alot of people would like it. But hey thats just my .02.
