Need help fixing GTA door panels
Ok I bought some GREAT looking GTA door panels on ebay...they are in near perfect condition, except for the top holes that are used to attached the top door trim. Most of them have torn through. Keeping in mind that the backing on these panels are much more rigid than the regular door panels...anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I was thinking either some how attaching metal washers on each side of the card board......or creating a bridge on the top of each hole...or attaching a strip of aluminum or something all across the top with the holes drilled in the same location....or maybe just fiberglassing the holes...I dont know. What is the EASIEST way...and what is the STRONGEST way?
Also, are the top trim peices the same for all the cars?

yes - the top trim pieces are the same for all cars. I've replaced the ones on my GTA panels.
As for the ripping, I'd just use a long sheet of alluminum glued to the back of the panel.

mine have done this as well. what ive done it totally seperate the two pieces.
1. door panel
2. top weatherstrip and trim.
bolt the door panel on, then "lock" the top piece in place. it will look factory when installed.
good luck.
