Looking for advice on replacing front window

Sorry I tried searching, but for dumb reason I couldn't find anything on replacing a front window. My friend was acting stupid when he swung his fist at his antenna. No big deal except for when it whipped back it hit his front window and shattered it. sucks for him but funny as hell for us . Anyways I'm helping him swap it out. I've never done a "front" window swap. I'm trying to figure out

* Can I use the same stripping (it appears to be in good shape and never leaked before).
* Do I put the stripping on the window then put it all in the frame, or do I put the stripping in the frame and then the window in.
* Any other advice is always helpfull.

Do you mean the front windshield? If so do a search for windshield replacement. It was discussed not long ago on the body board. It's pretty easy really.

That I would have done by a pro.. I just had one put in my Corvette and it was about $200 total, glass and labor.

I would do that to be sure there are no leaks in the future.

It's 200 plus labor to get it professionally installed. Or it's 50 for one from a junk yard.
I found it on the search this time. I typed front "window replacement" not "windshield replacement". Which made a difference on results. Just rewording can make a big difference.
My friend gets paid next week and were going to undergo the operation then.
