Well, I finally found a headlight conversion for my GTA. Takes the 6054's out and let you use either a 9003 or an H4 bulb.

nice, I've got a quick question for ya... is there a way you can take a picture with your headlights down with the exact same shot... same camera angles? I'm gonna try a certain photoshop.

Is that yours? How's the light dispersion on that? Does the fender block anything? Got pictures of the beam pattern at night?

The fender does not block any of the light. Very little (5-10%) of the beam hits the back of the bumper cover. But with H7 projectors that isnt the problem My current problem has to do with the lens cover i made (.125 plexi), it is refracting the light, causing the beam to scatter. Basically no focus on the beam.

Right now i am testing just the one side to make sure it is worth the time on the other side (took me about 4 days to figure out how to get it securely mounted) Now that i know how i want them, install only looks to be about 1-2 hours per side. And you dont need a sawzall

Aren't the H7's the ECE spec projectors? Why not go with the more powerful h9 setup. Easier to swap in an HID capsule later on.

Good job! Post up pictures of your brackets and such. I wrestled with those for weeks but gave up because I couldn't get them low enough with the 91-92 bumper. So now I'm swapping bumpers. ha!

I got all 4 with the ford focus kit haha, 150. shipped.

So thats why they are the H7s. There is NO bracket system. I used the provided adjusters and drilled holes 1/32 smaller than the adjuster, and popped them in. The only real mod i had to do was roll the metal edge for the low beam, that hole behind the light area.

Using sylvania 55 h7s, the light is a little better than my Silverstar "stock" lights. Rebuilding the entire harness (relays, 10g power/ground wire, 14g for each light, fuse box, etc.) for the lights and fans. Then upgrading to the 65w osram/philips bulbs (H9 burner on h7 base). BTW, HID light setup would need 1/4 of the mods for the h7 compared the h9 setup. But thats a little to rich for me right now ahah

holy sh*t that's rad... that's not what I was going to do but I would LOVE to... i was going to do a sleepy eyed headlight mod, because I found the perfect headlights to do it with. But damn, I may just have to do that now that I know it can be done hahaha. Let me know when you get it worked out.

btw have you thought about doing something like the C5R headlight with the small bulge in it?

I actually saw that on a powerwheels at ToyRUs, was looking into it, but our cars have way different lines...

true but if you bring it out towards where you have it dropping down now, it might look good. I dunno if you know what I mean but lemme draw a little illustration for ya.





where the yellow is would be where the lense would go, obviously clear and not that far up, but only what's neccesary to provide lighting through a flat piece of lense.
