My Camaro w/ L88 hood

Since I finally got some good pics of the car I figured I would post some of them. I still have to resize some so this is a test to see how they look on the site.[IMG][/IMG]

It's a copy of the L88 big block hoods on some of the C3 Corvettes. (Chevy figured it out a long while before the Japs did)

It looks pretty damn good. Any plans on selling some?

The hood is actually made by VFN fiberglass out of Addison, IL. The hood was $408 when I got it a year ago... Still haven't got around to painting it.

i'm gonna reserve judgement until i see it with paint. imho, right now the hood looks almost too big for the car. i'll probably drool when i see it with paint, but i def think a 5" spoiler would help even out the car.

They are ROH Snypers. That is if you are refering to the first pics in this thread.

Heres a link:

ROH Snypers

This is just a site I found them on. $209 a wheel for 17 X 8. Probably going to get me a set. They are sexy.

The rims are 16x8 ROH's. Right now I'm in college so I don't get to work on the car, but this summer the hood should be painted and the Hawks 5" spoiler has already been on the list of things to do. Next I need a set of Welds so I can put some ET Street Radials on for the track.

If I knew how to I would, or if I had to program for that matter. You can possibly try the photoshop board if its still here(haven't checked) and put a link to this thread for pictures.

For others I bought this hood from VFN Fiberglass and it was $408 without shipping. I believe I was one of the first buyers for the hood becuase they couldn't even show me a picture of the hood. So I bought it without knowing how it would look. Most people either hate it or love it. Hopefully this summer I can prep it for paint and finally get it painted. It took some work for it to fit like it does and still needs some more to be perfect. But being at college 5 hours from home and the car its hard to get work done on it. Money is also tight. I'm sure most can relate to the money and time part. Thanks everybody.

I had thought about doing something like that on the hood just so it wasn't all one solid color. Stuff like that does make it look a lot better.. I just dont know what color I would go with.

They're a beautiful hood on a 3rd gen. It was a choice between that, a Big Block 'Stinger' hood, or the Twin Turbo hood....I opted with the TT hood as it wasnt as...'big' but it was a hard choice. Beautiful hood man, get some paint on that thing

I didn't need this big of a hood to clear, but yeah my stock hood wouldn't clear anymore. As for being fuctional it's open in the back and I want to make a carb tray the seals to the hood whenever I get time.

As for painting the hood, will be spring/summer 07 till I get it done. The hood did have some fitment issues and will need some work done to it but most hoods do anyways.

That hood looks awesome!! I have the L88 on my 78' Z I think it is the best looking hood ever. Paint it gloss black, do not leave it flat. But If I were you I would paint it blue and put white or silver stripes on it.

that's a lot of rubber hose, ditch all that and go braided, you don't need an engine fire with that fuel line

i think the hood looks cool. but not my personal choice. i like the factory iroc z28 hoods and cowl hoods. motor is very nice. the blue is my favorite color. do agree with xpndbl3 if you replace the rubber it will add nice detail to the engine bay. also i think a set of red wires would look nice as well. good job so far.
