Hood stuck?
Well I went by a junkyard today...they had a fiberglass hoof on a 3rd gen firebird I wanted to pick up. Well, I leaned in the car to pull the hood latch thing....and the entire thing pulled out....so I was kinda worried at this point...went to the front and could not get the hood to come up...
Is there a way to get the hood off without damaging it?

You will probably have to crawl under the car and work on the latch a bit. Take some spray lube. You may end up taking the entire latch off. You may have to jack the car up to get under it.

Axle/Gears: posi, and posi w/discs :D.
my girlfriend had this same thing happen in her s-10. we just took a pair of vice grips and pulled on the lever where the hood pop used to be. did just the hand latch part break off? does it have a metal rod behind it? if it does just take some vice grips with ya.

I was hoping for that to work...but i pulled that panel off and pulled the metal rod...only for it to pull out of the car...so I was very dissapointed. Im gonna give it a try in a few days, see if I can comeup with something
