Tig or Mig

Ok, I am contemplating taking out the C&C Tops that are in my GTA and welding the section of the roof that was cut out back in from a doner car. Would the best way to do this be with a Tig unit or Mig (I have access to a very good person who can weld, but all he has is a high end Mig unit). I'm not going to cut off at the a-pillar or b-piller but just the section that was cut out through the roof itself.

I'm hoping this turns out rather well in the end.

Re: Tig or Mig

Well, most people use MIG welder for body work it will work fine if done right. A Tig welder would take a bit longer but would make a much nicer weld and less chance of warping and if it was done well would not need much body filler. Either will work, just make sure its quality work being done.
