Aftermarket T-top seal kit...
I ordered one form Hawk's, and I have it here to install on my '87 T/A. I've read about 10 ways to put them on so they won't leak. I have my hopes up, at least. I have everything off the car and I just POR-15'd the T-bar (and have the black hands to prove it! )
My question is: Should I install them like the directions say? I know the FAQ on this board says differently (does anybody understand all this write-up? ), and like I said above...it seems everyone has their own ideas of what the best way is. Is there anyone out there who's actually done it per the instructions with the kit, and had good OR bad results that they'd like to share? I'm about to have my car painted (while the seals are out!), and I really want it to seal up good. The car is really fun to drive, but having to leave it in the garage when it rains is starting to suck. I can't even let it sit outside in the rain or the rear floors get wet.
