Window felts

Hey guys, thought I'd tap into your resourcefulness and pose a question. I have my driver's side door panel off to lubricate rods and such, left it off because I'm considering replacing the window motor...but that's not the problem...I go out to my car and find the rear window felt adjuster twisted at an odd angle. I go to touch it and the whole thing snaps off in my fingers, metal and all...this piece doesn't look like it would be as strong welded back in place, or would it be?

Tell me what I should do please?

Re: Window felts

There is indeed room at the rear of the bracket, but not enough room to make it adjustable. so it would be a "one position only and hope it's the right position" kinda thing. If all else fails, I might try that.

Re: Window felts

You could certainly reinforce the area when you weld it back in. Shouldn't be any problem at all.
