Rear hatch release?
My car is in parts, the electric is not completely run in the car yet. Must have been the last time I moved the car, someone must have pushed down on my rear hatch. There is no electric run to the hatch, is there some kind of mechanical release?? I need to finish putting all the interior trim together, am I going to have to wait till all the electric is hooked up again, or can i release the hatch somehow w/o the power?
None of the interior back panels are on, so the latch assembly is exposed, it just involves crawling around in the back...
Thanks

Re: Rear hatch release?
Do you not have the key cylinder installed?
It has a point where the cable from the key goes in you can release it by turning it there if you can get to it. Or just unbolt the latche from the car if the trim isn't covering it up. Then when its open you sould be able to release it.

Re: Rear hatch release?
Don't I feel like a dumb @$$
I haven't even thought of trying the key yet...
I was thinking the hatch still needed to be retracted before it could be released.
Thank you very much for the solution.
