Z-28 nose without ground effects
i need to replace the front bumper cover on my '86 coupe and i found a deal on one from a Z-28 .
will it look ok without ground effects? totally retarded? i really don't want to add the extra 100 or so pounds and drill a bunch of holes bolting all the pieces on.
does the z- nose still need the sport coupe style front spoiler to keep the engine cool?
bring on the opinions! anyone doing this? any pics would be appreciated!
thank's in advance!

Re: Z-28 nose without ground effects
The chin spoiler extends and wraps around and covers up the "notch" looking parts of the front fender edges. A stock sport coupe or early Berlinetta nose also has a "notch" at the bottom. What I'm calling a notch is a section at the bottom of the nose and front edges of the fenders that turns back and kind of goes the wrong way, as compared to how the front nose piece and spoiler on a Z28 or IROC or RS continues at a nice forward angle from the bottom of the headlights area all of the way down to the very bottom edge of everything.
I'm looking for a chin spoiler, or lower valance for a 1982-84 Z28 nosepiece. Anybody have any leads? They don't seem to be really easy to find from most vendors.

Re: Z-28 nose without ground effects
well i ordered the bumper cover, guess what i was needing was a pic of the Z28 bumper cover on the car without the "chin spoiler".
also i am wondering about the cover's stability and resistance to breakage without it's "chin strap". i could do a flat metal brace along the bottom if i have to.
just trying to keep the car's lines clean without the ground effects.

it will look dead retarded, and if you take the ground effects off the sides of the car, the mounting bar will be exposed, just put it on, lol

Dude that thing would be retarted as hell ! I had my car like that for a couple of days for the reason that I was painting it and it look like if I had a front end installed from the '82 Camaro.

thank's guys, guess i'll have to find a whole gfx setup now. how many mounting holes would i have to drill? i really hate to drill up this body, it's a real clean van-nuys built car that spent most of it's life in texas.
