Removing IROC hood louvers for painting

I recently got a mint IROC hood locally for 60$, all of the louver studs are in tact, How can I remove them without breaking a single stud?

I was thinking of tanking a dremel and slotting the bottom of the studs so i can hold the studs with a regular screw driver while i wrench off the nuts..

Any one have other suggestions? Thanks, Trey

Be worth a shot. That plastic will be fragile. A bit of lubrication wouldn't be out of order.

If you are going through that much trouble, why not just cut the nut itself? A pack of 10 at Napa is only a few dollars.

Oh yikes... I think Im going to wd40 them a little, let it soak in really good.

Slot the bottoms so I can hold the stud with screwdriver and very slowly take them off

I am not sure how much more helpful it would be, but try a product that was designed for loosening tight bolts like liquid wrench or PB Blaster.
