Doors and strikers
Ok now that i have most of the interior and mechanics done im starting to turn my attention to the body. I have ran into a problem when i drive the car and hit a bump it seems that the door is banging on the striker the passenger side is the worst and the hinges are in great shape and when i drive it its like the door is gapped open and banging around but when i checked it its fully closed has anybody ran into this problem or does anybody have any kind of fix for this. Also the strikers seems a little beat up also. Please any help would be great.

Re: Doors and strikers
Strikers can be adjusted - the hole they reside in is larger than the striker itself, so can be loosened and adjusted.

Re: Doors and strikers
I think the original latch was lined with plastic to cushion the metal to metal contact on the striker...Maybe...That was 28 years ago. I would think that new bottom and side weatherstripping could also firm up the door movement.
