Last weekend's project

I thought I would share the little project I did last weekend. Unfortunately I didnt take any pictures, so use your imagination.

The project started because one of my buddies tried to pass me on the highway so I put my foot into the throttle and around the time I hit 80mph I heard the sound of rushing wind coming around my t-tops.

When I got home, I investigated to find that the metal screws holding down the center t-top bar had rotted off allowing the t-tops to lift up.

Also, in the past I had decided that the slight leak coming from my t-tops was not the seals themselves, but the adhesive that is supposed to hold them down, or rather what once was adhesive, so i decided that since I had to take it all apart anyway I would replace the adhesive with silicone.

Long story short, I replaced the rotted off screws with aluminum rivets, and siliconed down my t-top seals. No more air rushing into the car, and we will see if i solved the leak next time we go to the car wash.
