Ok, car is a 1992 firebird 3.1 hardtop, everytime it rained i would come out to a puddle(pretty big one)on the passenger side floor pan, so ive diagnosed the problem to when i put a hose and spray water down the vent inbetween the winsheild and hood i can see water streaming under the dash to tthe floor pan (carpet is ripped back atm) anyone ever have this problem or no how to fix this? thanks

Re: Huge puddle driverside 1992 firebird
you probably have a rust hole in the cowl drain area....pull out the debri guard where the wipers are located and inspect that....or it could be that water is getting past the seam sealer. This could be bad depending on how long it has been occuring. When I took my fenders and hood off I removed all the seam sealer I could find and coated the seams with POR15 then reapplied seam sealer.....good luck

I pulled back the passenger kick panel while it was raining & the water was seeping in where all of the ECM wires go thru the passenger side kick panel & then up to the engine. It's a p.i.t.a. to try & seal that area unless u remove the passenger front fender.
