Fiberglass Hoods
I recently purchased a Turbo Daytona hood from American Sports Car Design. I've fitted it on my '84 Z28 and that's fine. BUT since I had a nice strong steel hood, I've got those powerfull shock lifts. The lifts stress the hood to much when pulling it down... I'm tempted to remove them and put in a prop rod (against my better judgement).
Does anyone have a better idea to support an aftermarket fiberglass hood?

people always pointed me towards that junk yard and get some worn out ones. A prop rod would perfectly fine too.

I appreciate the advice. I was thinking of swapping my shocks with ones off my friend's Firebird (since they are weaker)... But I have a bad feeling I'd be getting ones too worn. If I can buy factory spec ones that are infact made to be weaker, that is mroe comforting.
I think I'll try the AutoZone idea.
Thanx.
If anyone else has other ideas, part numbers or anything, I'm still listening (but now I think i have a plan started)...
