senior bear

Hi im in the proses of geting my 88 formula ready to paint the rear hatch dus not sutc properly its up a good 1/2 inch on the pasenger side .all the other panels alighn corectly with equal body panel gaps t tops dont leak but tail gait dont fit .ive tryed adjustments acording to factory manual still dont fit .any ideas ?
