Bleeding the brakes

I have rear disc brakes. I was told that they had to be bleed in a certain order. Example, Right rear 1st, Left front 2nd, Right front 3rd, and then Left rear last. Is that true or does it not really matter?

Yes, RR, LR, RF, LF
Farthest away from the master cylinder first to ensure all the air is properly removed.
