Few last questions about C4 HD
I got a used brake kit J55 C4 HD kit from a Vette Salvage dealer and FINALLY after some 3 months have accumulated all the parts to install but I have a few final questions:
I bought new retaining pins from Napa. The pins that came with my used kit from had pins with one groove and a washer.
The new pins have two grooves and no washer.
How much play should there be in reguards to the pin sliding in and out on the carrier from head to clip? With the washer it's tigher but not snug, without the washer there is an extra 1/16" play.
And which way does the pin go in? From the back or from the front?
EDIT: Answered that, from the front.
I was told the calipers go in on the sides where the bleeder screw is up (obviously for air and bleeding purposes).
Edit: One more question:
Thanks for the input

Cool! Says they will be here thursday the 24th! Can't wait!
Set 3 on both bearings. Got it.
They WILL work with my 1987 IROC stock spindle correct?
The stock rotor took a Set 34 and Set 6.
Thanks again!

Yes, Set 3 on both outers. They'll slide right on, no worries. Would I steer you wrong?
