ok so basically my brakes such azz on my IROC-Z and i need to know what are some good brakes kits. are any of these brakes good http://www.summitracing.com/search/Y...?Ns=Rank%7cAsc

i have fine tires so im good there. they dont have be best of the best brakes but if possible a bit better then adverage new cars brakes. good enough to drag the tires to a stop. i wouldnt mind paying more for brakes then what i posted if they are lots better but i need them to fit under stock wheels. i was thinking of trying ls1 brakes from a j-yard but i'll proberly sit there trying figure what the hell to do first on how to get them off. I NEED INSTRUCTIONS!

All of the big brake upgrades require, at the very least, spindle modification, so purchasing a kit, say, one from Ed Miller, might be the easiest choice. Check his site:

If money is an issue (and when isn't it), you might consider new calipers, rotors, pads, lines, and fluid.

Issue was brakes at 50% due to lack of vac caused by cam. Should be 16 inches of vac and it is at 10 inches. I added a vac vane pump and hooked it to brake booster. It worked well. The vac fed from manifold is no longer used. I was told I need to retain the manifold vacuum source utilizing the pump as a secondary. Pump is providing vac at 16 inches on and off at 20 inches. Now how to plumb it? I was told a check valve has to be added. I presume all vehicles have that valve you stated already exists.
