Brake pad problem

When i was installing my out board brack pads the pad wont stay sitting in the caliper. Im using wagner thermoquiet pads. Do you just do a balancing act and sit it against the rotor to keep it from moving? Most cars I change have clips of some sort holding it on. It fits in the slot on the rotors fine, just loose enough to fall out.

Re: Brake pad problem

Fronts with cast iron calipers? If so there should be tabs on the pad that retain it. The two small tabs then get bent toward the caliper to prevent the pad from clunking when the brakes are applied.

Re: Brake pad problem

They are actually pretty decent pads. Nice and quiet and good grip. Id recommend them if you want a good daily pad.

Re: Brake pad problem

Ya I have stock calipers but there reman because both of mine were starting to stick shut. One I got the tabs bent right the pads fit just fine, they were just really thick brackets that I wasnt use to.
