Looking for advice for rear brakes

So the car originally had drums open diff with a 10 bolt 2.73. I have just bought a 10 bolt 3.23 with posi/disc brake setup out of a 92 z28. Im wondering what I should do with the brakes.

I put new stock rotors and calipers on the front when I first got the car(not knowing how deep I was going to go with this build) And I noticed that the rear calipers are very different then the fronts.

So I guess my question is what should I do with the brake system? Should I just put stock rears on it for now or should I upgrade them all the way around?

And I am not to familiar with the rear disc brake e brake system and so I am looking for threads on how to convert all of that so that the parking brake works.

Any ideas? Thanks

Re: Looking for advice for rear brakes

When that rear was in its original home, odds are about 9999 to 1 that its front brake system was IDENTICAL IN EVERY WAY to yours.

So even though they look sorta different, they are "compatible".

I'd recommend you start out putting them back stock, and see where that takes you. Reserve the right to make a judgment call until after you have some data to work with.

As far as the parking brake, should just hook up to what you've got. At least, those did on my 83 car. The 89-92 cables just hooked right directly into the "equalizer" thing under the shifter on my 83, just as if they had been born there.
