Wilwood FLS conversion
Would this Wilwood FSL conversion offer better stopping power than stock?

Im looking to upgrade my brakes but I can afford nothing to pricey. I have a 1992 RS disk/drum. Maybe sometime future if budget allows i'll do a disk conversion on the rear.

Re: Wilwood FLS conversion
Just an FYI, that is just the spindle and hub kit with the necessary mods already done so the calipers and rotors just bolt on. Add another 550 minimum to this kit for the actual brakes.
Sorry for the bad news.
Your cheapest upgrade is going to be LS1 front brakes. That will probably fit the 550 budget.

Re: Wilwood FLS conversion
That kit will offer all the stopping power you could ask for - problem is as said, it is not a complete kit. And it won't fit under most of the OEM 16" 3rd gen wheels either...

Paul, I think the FSL kit with the 13" c4hd rotors fit under the 16" iroc wheels.

Re: Wilwood FLS conversion
I know the Baer Track kit with the PBR calipers and the same 13" rotors won't - neither will it fit under Formula or Cross-Lace wheels. They do fit in 91-92 Z28/RS wheels.
16" tire selection is getting even more scarce these days, plus to get more braking power, you need a wider tire, so 17" and larger is a great way to go - if you can swing the additional cost.
