Could you post more pics of the car please. Any problems with it mechanically?

And the lt1 has 0 miles since a rebuild and the tranny is brand new?

I have more pictures and can send them to you if you give me an email address. I will post a few new pictures tomorrow. I am the second owner of the car and 83k is the original miles. It is a very clean car. I have a lot more than $4900.00 in parts alone into it. All the hard big dollar work is already done to the car.

You say it's not finished, is it running and road worthy as it sits?

Re: 1987 IROC Z28/LT1/WC-5/3:73/Z06 Brakes

The car needs the electric fuel pump wiring and regulator (since it is carbed now), wiring for the dual fans as well, the air cleaner installed. It would not take a lot to make it road worthy. I will be out of town for a week and will update some pictures later. The front suspension brakes were done prior to the conversion as well as the tires.

OK, I don't have a way to transport, was hoping I could drive it away if we struck a deal.
Good luck with it though.

Re: 1987 IROC Z28/LT1/WC-5/3:73/Z06 Brakes

It would not take long to set up the wiring on the fuel pump and wire the fans for a trip. I will be gone for the holidays and should have some time to sort it all out when I get back. I have a lot of other parts I will throw in with the car, $4900.00 is the lowest I am willing to go on it as of now, that is a very good deal.

Agreed, not much time and is a good deal, If I see it and like it, not gonna haggle you to death.
I would want to drive it before buying of course nothing worse than getting stranded in a NEW car 800 miles from home!!!. I'm in FL and don't get much time off so Would have to be a weekend trip.
Would most of the "extra" parts fit in the car? My friend that would drive me up has pontiac fiero and not much room to pack stuff in that thing!!

The car is still for sale, I have to say, even if you were to rent a trailer, borrow the average full size truck and drive here (road trip) to pick the car up it is still a very good deal, I have driven further for less.......I have a lot of extra parts for this car that I may let go with the car, as I have not EBayed them yet.....Complete TPI setup....1990 9-bolt posi w/2:78 pbr disk....(2) overhead consoles complete w/flash lts, TTop and hardtop.......1990-1992 Bose gold rear deck (grey) enclosure w/6in speakers in excellent condition.....extra front bose gold kickepanel enclosures......pair of std. front rotors machined down for the LS1/Z06 brake conversion w/ LS1 front and rear calipers, and so much more...........I built this car with the best parts, not some thrown together car, I have built and owned over 47 cars since 1982...my first 3 cars were sleepers, 1970, 1972 and 1973 Z-28's with the real LT1's and M-22 four speeds banging out 12's on street L60 tires.

Give me a call at 757-513-4133 when you get a chance. I live off of 664/164 10 minutes out of the Midtown tunnel. I work at the Northrop Grumman shipyard and am available everyday from 3pm-7pm except sunday. There have been a few people locally interested in the car and are trying to gather the money together, but I have told everyone it is first come first serve.

Re: 1987 IROC Z28/LT1/WC-5/3:73/Z06 Brakes

Before I parked the car for the LT1 conversion, being an FE2 car already, what I did not know is that the front sway bar on the FE2 350 IROC is larger than the 305 FE2 cars, I replaced it with the larger bar, I finished all the suspension and the Z06 brake conversion with the new Yoko's and the car and the original TPI 305/T5 and 3:73's, it stuck to the corners like glue and braked like a vette, just enough power to stick it in the turns without over powering the suspension and spinning it out like the 90' 350 IROC I had.... I really do not want to part it out, I would rather let it go for $4700, than take it apart, I have never out of 47 cars I have owned done this (11 of them Z28's) taken one apart to sell....and if I do the brakes will find their way on the 86' Z51/vette, even though I have a complete 96 LT4 drive train w/13HD's and dana 44/ 3:45's.....somebody move fast on this one.

Not parted yet, either the motor/trans or the rolling body sells before I turn a bolt. I do not want to have a half of a car in my driveway.
