The WC 5-Speed is all new, with a new 1-4 gearset from The gear box, with all new bearings and installation kit, B&M shifter, .58 5th gear for better cruising w/3:73's, New Ram Clutch, 02 Camaro SS aluminum driveshaft (8k miles), I also installed the larger front sway bar from a 350 FE2 car, the 305 FE2 car has a slightly smaller front bar.,

Could you post more pics of the car please. Any problems with it mechanically?

And the lt1 has 0 miles since a rebuild and the tranny is brand new?

I have more pictures and can send them to you if you give me an email address. I will post a few new pictures tomorrow. I am the second owner of the car and 83k is the original miles. It is a very clean car. I have a lot more than $4900.00 in parts alone into it. All the hard big dollar work is already done to the car.

You say it's not finished, is it running and road worthy as it sits?

Re: 1987 IROC Z28/LT1/WC-5/3:73/Z06 Brakes

The car needs the electric fuel pump wiring and regulator (since it is carbed now), wiring for the dual fans as well, the air cleaner installed. It would not take a lot to make it road worthy. I will be out of town for a week and will update some pictures later. The front suspension brakes were done prior to the conversion as well as the tires.

OK, I don't have a way to transport, was hoping I could drive it away if we struck a deal.
Good luck with it though.

Re: 1987 IROC Z28/LT1/WC-5/3:73/Z06 Brakes

It would not take long to set up the wiring on the fuel pump and wire the fans for a trip. I will be gone for the holidays and should have some time to sort it all out when I get back. I have a lot of other parts I will throw in with the car, $4900.00 is the lowest I am willing to go on it as of now, that is a very good deal.

Agreed, not much time and is a good deal, If I see it and like it, not gonna haggle you to death.
I would want to drive it before buying of course nothing worse than getting stranded in a NEW car 800 miles from home!!!. I'm in FL and don't get much time off so Would have to be a weekend trip.
Would most of the "extra" parts fit in the car? My friend that would drive me up has pontiac fiero and not much room to pack stuff in that thing!!

The car is still for sale, I have to say, even if you were to rent a trailer, borrow the average full size truck and drive here (road trip) to pick the car up it is still a very good deal, I have driven further for less.......I have a lot of extra parts for this car that I may let go with the car, as I have not EBayed them yet.....Complete TPI setup....1990 9-bolt posi w/2:78 pbr disk....(2) overhead consoles complete w/flash lts, TTop and hardtop.......1990-1992 Bose gold rear deck (grey) enclosure w/6in speakers in excellent condition.....extra front bose gold kickepanel enclosures......pair of std. front rotors machined down for the LS1/Z06 brake conversion w/ LS1 front and rear calipers, and so much more...........I built this car with the best parts, not some thrown together car, I have built and owned over 47 cars since 1982...my first 3 cars were sleepers, 1970, 1972 and 1973 Z-28's with the real LT1's and M-22 four speeds banging out 12's on street L60 tires.

Give me a call at 757-513-4133 when you get a chance. I live off of 664/164 10 minutes out of the Midtown tunnel. I work at the Northrop Grumman shipyard and am available everyday from 3pm-7pm except sunday. There have been a few people locally interested in the car and are trying to gather the money together, but I have told everyone it is first come first serve.

It'd be a shame to see such a nicely put together car torn apart.

Re: 1987 IROC Z28/LT1/WC-5/3:73/Z06 Brakes

Before I parked the car for the LT1 conversion, being an FE2 car already, what I did not know is that the front sway bar on the FE2 350 IROC is larger than the 305 FE2 cars, I replaced it with the larger bar, I finished all the suspension and the Z06 brake conversion with the new Yoko's and the car and the original TPI 305/T5 and 3:73's, it stuck to the corners like glue and braked like a vette, just enough power to stick it in the turns without over powering the suspension and spinning it out like the 90' 350 IROC I had.... I really do not want to part it out, I would rather let it go for $4700, than take it apart, I have never out of 47 cars I have owned done this (11 of them Z28's) taken one apart to sell....and if I do the brakes will find their way on the 86' Z51/vette, even though I have a complete 96 LT4 drive train w/13HD's and dana 44/ 3:45's.....somebody move fast on this one.

Not parted yet, either the motor/trans or the rolling body sells before I turn a bolt. I do not want to have a half of a car in my driveway.

It looks like the complete trans/clutch set up/B&M shifter may be sold as a unit, still waiting for the money, if it goes I will take the motor and trans out I will know soon......For $3200.00 I will let the complete rolling body go with the tires rims and Z06 brakes and 3:73 rear end...minus the motor/trans/complete exhaust.....this will be as sad day, I wish I could of found a car that was all done for that price,.......I know 70% of you know what I am talking about and not shed an ounce of sweat on it to get it that way, already done........

Re: 1987 IROC Z28/LT1/WC-5/3:73/Z06 Brakes

I have a lot of interest in parting the car out, and know that I can make a lot more money off of it that way......A wise man would know that the car is worth a lot more than the asking price in parts alone......I will give it another two weeks and part it out. So if you guys want it...move fast, The rolling body will be equipped with stock front brakes, LS1 rear brakes and the Z06 brakes will move on to the 86 Vette.....so 1LE front cut down hubs/spindles/brackets/Earls lines will also be available for sale as well as a std set of cut down camaro hubs.

The pictures were sent you Tony....I am going to start on the E-store selling a few small parts cross advertising the car for sale, to see if the car draws in E-store interest to sell either the body as a roller or the motor and trans, without have to list the car itself, then I will sell the rest on the site, The problem is I live in a neighborhood that does not allow cars to be taken apart in the driveway. There are a few people who want some of the parts so far, so keep emailing me on them if the car does not sell.

Re: 1987 IROC Z28/LT1/WC-5/3:73/Z06 Brakes

We are about 9 hours from Jax. I have driven further for less....its well worth the money, I have some free time and will check out the two harnesses and see if I can get the feul pump to work, and see if I can find a fuel presure regulator locally, the fans can easily be wired to work, thats all it really needs to be road worthy for a trip, other than a little rust on the 13inch Z06 brakes, should not t ake long to clean that off....

The LT1 Carb intake, B?M shifter and the driveshaft is on the estore...would rather sell parts in this order: Transmission, clutch set up, motor, rims (tires and brakes are going on myvette) 1LE front cut down hubs w/new bearings, the body I would like to keep together and sell as a roller w/stock brakes. I may part the interior not sure yet.

The 3:73 28 spline rear w/LS1 brakes (mounted in the 89-92 position) and e-cables may go as well....I have another 9-bolt(w/PBR brakes) I can install.

Re: 1987 IROC Z28/LT1/WC-5/3:73/Z06 Brakes

I am really sorry the car has been for sale for 6 months and I am parting it out, it is a shame this car was so close to being completed...and was far better than most of the cars around here, it wqas done up right. So far I have sold: intake, SLP driveshaft, shifter, (Z06 Brakes and tires are on the vette now) the 3:73 rear w/LS1 brakes will get removed and replaced w/9 bolt 2:77posi w/PBR big brakes, I will sell the body hopefully complete, the motor trans and clutch will be also sold.....you have to come up with some money to stop me from turning wrenches now....no BS, so step up to the plate....clear (second owner title, 84k original mile body?)

You have to understand, I am sifting through the dreamers, tire kickers and people who are not sure on anything or do not know if they have the money....and you may or may not just be one of them, out of all of the requests to buy parts on the site, only one person has purchased something....so with that said, if you really want the car you should call me about it. I am going to update the site as it everything gets sold on down.
