1986 Sport Coupe F/S, 305/cam, many mods, 3000 obo !!!SOLD!!!
Car is SOLD.
I've moved on to an LT1/M6 and don't have time for two toys.
Under the hood is a crate 305, 25k miles since it's been purchased. Summit K1102 cam, ZZ3 intake, Edelbrock 600cfm carb, SLP headers (air deleted) and y-pipe, dump after Y-pipe, vacuum advance Summit distributor. 700R4 trans, 15k miles since rebuilt w/ SLP shift kit and 2500rpm stall converter. Optima red top battery. 15k miles on Richmond 3.73 10 bolt rear with fresh posi. Suspension is Tokico 5way adjustable Illuminas w/ lowering springs, Global West Swaybar, panhard bar, wonderbar, poly busing, Metco LCA's, fast-ratio steering box. I have solid billet strut mounts to go with the car if desired - no installed. ROH 16" wheels w/ BFG KDW's all around - enough rubber for 1 more season. Interior is 4th gen leather, power drivers seat. Pioneer CD/Casette radio. 4 point harness on drivers side, Z28 145mph gauge cluster.
Car needs nothing to drive, it defintley has a new rag joint in its near future, there is some steering slop at the joint - I have a billet replacement joint not yet installed. Temperature gauge isn't currently functioning, electric fans do turn on as they should. No heat, leaky heater core. The car was originally a CC-qjet and CC-distributor setup, the wiring harness was a hack job, so it was removed for vacuum advance ignition and standard carb. I have not rigged a torque converter lockup, you're over stall speed at 70mph, so there isn't a tremendous RPM difference. Only rust is on the drivers side A pillar, and leading edge of the drivers side door - both minor surface rust.
Its a nice quick car, sounds awesome, and handles like its on rails. Extremly solid, the underside is very clean. This would be an ideal SCCA car - the prior owner used it for that and was very successful. I would value the car at $3000 but will work with the right buyer. Car is near Syracuse, NY.
