Larger capacity oil pan with duel exhaust ??
Hi guys. I have a question. I got a 379 (40 over 400 with a 350 crank) going in an '88 sport coupe. I have a custom duel exhaust setup ( sorry no pictures ) I'm using Hedman shorty headers and the drivers side exhaust pipe comes down and goes in between the oil pan and the crossmember as the stock y-pipe did and then is twinned with the pass. Side exhaust and follows the original route and dumps out in front of the axle. This is no problem with a stock 4 quart oil pan on my old 305. but the new engine will see rpms in the 7000 range and I want to run a larger oil pan and still be able to retain this exhaust for ground clearance. Anyone have a good cheap recommendation for an oil pan ?? Thanks for any advice

Can't help you with that exhaust routing and pan combo but will say I run the summit 7 qt. kicked out sump pan on mine. Have used hooker shorty headers and hedman long tube headers on mine but both with custom straight back on each side dual pipes.
Right now I have the summit 7 qt. pan, hedman long tubes, 3" pipes to 3" X pipe, 3" pipes out of X into dynomax ultra flow mufflers mounted in the very rear
