Guaging Interest 88 Iroc Roller 5.7 Car
Hey guys I am tossing the idea around of selling my car as a roller. About a week ago I lost oil pressure for some strange reason, fried the front main bearing and a few rod bearings. I have the engine pulled right now, and the more I think about messing with it I am tossing the idea around of selling it as a roller. The car really is in great shape. Its a T-top car and honestly the seals on it arent the greatest. It has no rust. I just replaced the front struts, front brake pads and rotors, new hatch pull down motor, rear shocks, and hood shocks. The tires on it are really good however the fronts did get chopped a bit from the struts being shot when I bought the car. I replaced the seats in the car with a set of 4th gen Firebird leather seats which is gray in color as well as the car is gray. I have a new magnaflow exhaust y-pipe all the way back. Attached is a picture of the car. It does have the transmission still in the car. The car says around 90K on it as far as mileage I cant remember the mileage exactly but its 89 and some change. Im located in SW Ks. If interested email me at calebrex28@hotmail.com
If someone has an engine it would really make this a nice car. I just dont know if its something I want to mess with let alone afford right now.

Re: Guaging Interest 88 Iroc Roller 5.7 Car
I honestly dont know. Unless the tolerances between the bearings got too lose and caused the oil to go to that one spot and starve the front main. There was no signs of oil pump problems. The pressure was good when the engine was running down the highway. The day it happened the oil pressure was fine going down the highway, coming to the stop sign is when it dropped to nothing while at idle and in gear, so that makes me think the oil was going to one spot.

Unless I change the intake/TPI on it I cant make the type of power I want to out of it. I cant run the type of cam I want to run. Just runs out of air.

Someone bring me $2000 and the car is yours. New radiator, new heater core, 95 Firebird leather seats front and rear. New struts on the front, new shocks on the rear.
Im tired of thinking what to do just sell it and get it out of my mind lol!
