I was in Winnipeg tonight, and got to meet Dennis Gage at the Pony Corral

This was the first time I've been to wpg on a sunday night, and I have to say MY ***! First off, the show at the Pony Corral on Pembina was awesome. There were some unbelievably nice cars there. Plus, the cars come and go all night. You can walk down a row and look at all the cars. Then you can come back 20 minutes later to walk down the same row, and they're all different cars! Is it always like this?

Dennis Gage of "My Classic Car" was there, and I got to meet him. He's the coolest guy ever. Super nice guy. I want his job!

And then of course, I couldn't leave town without checking out the action on Portage ave. My girlfriend and I parked in some lot on Portage ave, close to the Burger Factory, and watched all the cars for about 3 hours. It's amazing to see how many people are out cruising, and even more amazing how many people are out "spectating"! I couldn't believe how many people were lined up on the sidewalks with lawn chairs.

You know, instead of the so called "officials" of wpg being so **** about sunday night crusing, they should instead try to promote it. It could become a hot tourist attraction, no doubt about that. Calgary is known for their stampede...Winnipeg could be known as the Hot Rod capital of Canada.

The cars are the only reason why I was there tonight with my girlfriend. And from what I could see, everyone was driving responsibly. No idiots screaching tires or (this is my favourite) "racing at insanely high speeds" like you always read about in the paper. There's too much traffic. Nobody could race in that.

So, I saw a real nice 3rd gen T/A. Bright yellow with an aftermarket hood of some sort, and a 4th gen rear wing. I also saw a nice looking red rag top (89 or 90) IROC at the Pony Corral, as well as a blue 91 T/A. Do these cars belong to anyone here?

This has got me thinking...maybe I'll make a trip into the peg again this coming sunday, and if I do, I'll be bringing my Z instead of my Jimmy. Anyone up for a mini-thirdgen meet?

I've know the guy, with the yellow T/A with the hood and 4th gen spoiler, i talked to him a bit, and the dude with the blue '91 T/A lives down in the West end of Portage ave I got a few snapshot of the that one. As for the show at the Pony ya it was off the hook....Dennis is a cool guy we did some Photos with him for our Fbody car club in Winnipeg..He's definetly cool....As for the cruise seen here, Ya is pretty cool..lots of cars..it makes for some slow driving though..Sounds like you were right in the heart of it if you were sitting by Burger Factory....You probally saw **** Isle a little further west... I think i cruised by a couple times...but im not too keen on getting stuck on heavy traffic down there. If your from Brandon do you know a lil guy named Scott with a Notchback GTA??
