Here's another one. I am starting up an EFI based tuner club any day now that will be based around my new company AFI performance. If anyone want's to get in on it please feel free to email me at Kgausvik@sprint.ca.
I already have a few members and would really like to see this thing expand.

Hey Tony,
Right now I am just starting up my business small time to establish a specific market. I will not post any information on my company to avoid any problems with the web site at this time, but I do invite you and anyone else to contact me for club information, or just to get some advise on your car.
I am first and foremost a camaro lover, and would rather get a gathering together for our cars than client's anyday.
Take care,
Martin Gausvik

We can use all the camaros we can get in Edmonton to keep the Stangs at bay, it is good to see you are returning. Your info says you run a 383, is it EFI or carbed?
Once you get the car up you should swing by the shop and take a peek at some of the cars, and check out the new Hi-tech facility that specilizes in our vehicles of choice.

Another Edmonton body here. Keep an eye out for my Dirty Bird, looks like black primer glossed up with shoe polish!
I hope to make it to the track this summer too, got there once last year for three runs. Good, legal fun.

Well, I am just working out details on a space located on 75th street on the south side. Damn, real estate agents are screwing me around something crazy. I am planning the grand opening to be at the powerama this year, I already have all the tuning software, and a brand new dynojet chassis dyno waiting for a place to sit.
Keep an eye out for my booth, it will have some of the vehicles I have built so far, a 1987 Z28 that is procharged and N20 injected plus every possible upgrade immaginable, a 2000 Ram air T/A that has all suspension upgraded sitting on 18 inch custom forged wheels, and running a heads and cam 480 horse package, and a 2001 silverado Z71 with a supercharged 409 stroker motor that rips off 11 flats and 0-60's in 2 seconds flat.

Saw your vehicles at powerrama, they were looking pretty good. Is that thirdgen running yet? It looked like it was still being finished when it was at powerrama

I am going to try and make it out for the street legals this weekend and run the silverado, if anyone from the Edmonton area sees me out there say HI. I will be at the track and on white ave with a couple customer cars, one being a super raunchy sounding black 2000 SS, and the other an equally phsyco sounding silver 2000 T/A in case you spot them.
As far as the gathering thing goes, once the season and weather progresses I will be calling all cars for some sort of dyno/car show/ gathering to get everyone that is interested in the F-bodies aquainted. Please let me know if you are interested via e-mail or posting, and I will be sure to contact you when plans are made.
Tis the season to get the cars out, so lets see if we can actually get somewhat of an F-body community together.

You're still going on the 3rd Gen? I was wondering why I haven't seen it at the track.

Yeah it has been a while! How is the camaro holding up? My new performance company has really taken off in the last while and kills a lot of my hours required to get the car finished up. I have also been building up a personal supercharged 409 stroker 2001 silverado 4x4 that took most of the winter to complete.
You should swing by the shop for a wobly pop and some one of these nights.

No it is actually a short box step side that is lowered on twenties and all kinds of other junk. If you enjoyed the firebird you should hit the bank and buy it off me, I am putting it up for sale soon .
You should see if you can make it out tonight, the weather is kick *** and I am going to be testing out a newly completed Ram Air T/A that a customer had me modify from top, to bottom, from the engine, all the way back to the diff, and everything suspension in between.
My current short term place is out in Ardrossan so I would have to give you directions rather than an address to make it easier to find. I have been going through all kinds of realestate woes trying to get my new building built in Edmonton, but it looks like I can finally start to give out the address. The developer garantees in writing completion at the very latest to be Sept.1, 2004.
The new location of AFI Performance will be on the corner of 43rd street and 82 Ave.
Here is a pic of the new truck:

That is my car. So far, I have kept things cosmetic. New Carmine Endura paint, redone leather interior, stereo system, basic K&N, !CAT, !AIR, plugs, wires, blah blah blah. I am saving the radical stuff for when the engine actually dies. It is still running too well to kill it, and this was my daily driver until I bought my Avalanche.
However, I think my 700R1 just blew. It won't shift until you rev it to about 4500, and then it shifts HARD. It may be the governor, but I think the clutch has finally gone. 300K later, one would expect this.
I have really avoided Fu(#*ing up the car with silly fins and overpowered stuff. I prefer a clean aerodynamic look, and with the Cd on the IROC hovering around .29, why screw with it?
After that, suspension and handling mods are in order. Last will be the engine, unless it dies or I come across a great Edmonton rebuild shop with a deal too good to pass up.
So, it has gone from this years ago (before I left for Houston)
to this...

It sure is nice to see someone with my same tastes that likes to keep it looking like it came from the factory. Are you going to have the car out this weekend if the weather clears up? I would like to check it out in person!
As far as a shop in Edmonton that does quality work with smoking deals, I might just know someone that could help you out I do third gen six speed conversions for cheap also if you ever thought about rowing the gears on that car If not, I can help you out with the 700 as well.
If you are ever looking for something to do and want to check out a couple of the nicest 87 z's around, give me a call and check mine and a customers car out that is in the shop. It makes me drool to think of the three way picture that we could take of these things together.
Very nice work on the car, I really am looking forward to getting a peek at it (if you will let me,LOL).

Hey Martin!
I would love to stop by, but with the tranny acting up the way it is, I really don't want to drive it. It really sucks driving on the W-mud and having is rev the crap out of the engine. I am near WEM, so a drive out would be a long one in 2nd gear. However, you are more than welcome to take a peek anytime, and I will gladly stop by. PM me with your shop's address. If I can get this thing shifting again, I will gladly pay a visit. I too want to see other 87's that are clean!
As for a conversion to a T6, can't. I had radical surgery done to my left leg as a result of cancer, so although I can drive a stick well, as a daily pattern it makes my leg too sore. Trust me, I MISS a stick, I REALLY REALLY miss a stick as that is what I grew up with. So, a beefed up 700R4 is in the cards for me. The car I remember learning on was a 1968 Jag XKE – talk about an amazing tranny. Dad so has to will that to me, I’m over 30 now and I am responsible – somewhat.
The engine I eventually want is rather tame considering some of the buildups I see here. Really, I want a canyon carver for the Yellowhead, and to play with my neighbor’s ‘Vette. I can just see the fun between Valemount and Clearwater. All I want is a streetable 350-400 ponies, and keep some kind of respectable economy with $.99/litre premium. I was thinking on a well done 350 or even a 8 psi charger on a mild 350.
I see you have an injector shop....do you do rebuilds? My #3 and #7 are a little weak, but as I said before, after 300K, it's about time.
Cheers!
Richard

Hey Richard,
It is too bad about the leg, but at least the go peddle one still works good. I can't even imagine learning to drive a stick in a 60's european sports car, it would have been a blast.
Weather permiting I will be out on the prowl this weekend and would love to check that thing out. I will PM my information so we can discuss arrangments to check out the shop and your car.
If you like the pro-touring canyon carving type camaros than you might not want to check out mine, you will probably have the visa card out in a heartbeat . That is exactly the way mine is set up, it is lowered 2 inches with koni adjustable suspension, trac linc torque arm system, 18x10 boyd coddingtons, and everything else that would make a car never want to go in a straight line.
I actually don't do injector rebuilding, though now that I look at the name of my company it could be a little misleading. I specialize in EFI cars and build custom engines, injection systems, custom in house dynotuned programming, and everything else on the vehicle. What i can do for you though is throw you a set of good condition stock injectors for a case of beer to solve your problem.
Anywho, I will shoot you a pm with the info, and also feel free to call.

No pics yet, the car is not quite finished (I know, I keep saying that) but they are on the car. I guess I could snap a shot how it is right now, but it won't have the full effect seeing as the lowering springs are new and have not settled down. BTW Trevor, when are you going to swing by for a wobbly pop or two?

I live near the Whitemud on the west end…
178th under 5-6' of water on the Whitemud
170 - not too far behind
Quensel Bridge - under 2' of HAIL????
NS River - about 2-3' higher than the previous rains left it.
Laurier Boat Launch is now Laurier river.
My service road had close to a foot of water, luckily the IROC was near the fringe and only had water up to the bottom of the doors - about 3' further back and she would be a smelly mess. Lucky me.
WEM - where I took shelter when the last intersection almost swamped my Avalanche - was a waterfall over the parkade and a river/lake below.
Just amazing. I haven't seen this much flowing water on the streets since I lived in Houston.

Almost missed me where I am in the south. Had a lot of rain, not much hail, unlike about 2 blocks north.

OK, here are a couple pictures of the car in it's current conditon. The car has not been washed for about six months and as I said the darn thing looks like a 4x4 until the springs settle, but oh well.

BTW Trevor, when are you going to swing by for a wobbly pop or two?

Sounds good Trevor, it looks like my pictures didn't show up? I will have to try again.
How do I decrese the amount of bytes so that I can post pictures? My pictures are over a million bytes and the max is 102500?

Save them as .JPG before you post and it should bring them down to a reasonable size. You can e-mail them to me and I'll post them if you're having trouble.

Not a problem, I reduced them to 1/3 the original size and turned the jpeg quality down a little and they're a little more reasonable size now.
