can i make this sound decent?

A 120wattX1 RMS amp powering a 400watt RMS Thunder 8000 MTX 10" sub. I'm probably gonna sell these, but i may consider using them. I know the sub will be underpowered, but could it sound ok at normal to kinda high volume?

I wouldnt think it'd sound to good. Go to Ebay. you can get an amp to run that sub fairly cheap. Sell the amp and use the $.

how good it sounds and how loud it gets are 2 totally different things. I'm sure it'll sound fine. Whether or not it gets loud enough to suit your tastes is pretty subjective, but overall I'm sure it's not going to get all that loud.

i'm putting 100W to a 300W rms sound, and it sounds good enough for me, but i'm not a rapper or any of that crap, i just like a bit of punch to my music

coming from a guy with no amps or subs in his car......

yes! it will sound ok, not very loud, but, a whole lot better than nothing!

I would run a ported box if you can.

My sister has a 130 watt amp powering two 12" rockfords in a ported box and it sounds decent, it definitly adds 'punch'. They may be tens, I'm really not sure

set the crossover low and you will get more output too.

If you want loud.....give it 400 watts, then it will be plenty loud!
