Pioneer DEH-3400 and IPOD?

Hey Guys Need some advice on this. I have a 2002 model pioneer DEH-3400 and would like to hardwire my IPOD to it. FM modulators sound like crap! I don't think this stereo has RCA imputs, just preouts. Anyone have any expierience with these? Do i need a special conectors so I can make use of the propietery connector or what? The stereo has an aux setting so what the best way to get an Ipod to imput into this thing? Thanks for your help

I have a DEH-P3000 and I was able to buy an adaptor from Pioneer that plugged into the CD changer port. I got the one that just gave me RCA inputs, but they said they also made one that allowed you to still plug in a CD changer plus the RCAs. Just give Pioneer a call. I don't remember how much it cost. It was quite a few years ago.

Can't do it with that HU. You need one with the IpBus connector. You can tell if it has one by the 'P' in the model# (like a DEH-P6400). I don't know why it would have have AUX in the menu though. Did you buy it new or used?

Get a middle of the road Pioneer. Can't the bang for the buck. And the new Pioneer iPod boxes are even better then the Alpine full speed iPod interface.
