Best front/rear speakers for '86 Trans Am
Hello! Recently bought my dream car, a black third gen Trans Am ('1986) in excellent condition, and now need to start messing with it. It has all stock components, which is great if you're into keeping things stock, but I'm not. I want to replace the audio system first, because it sounds pretty much knackered.
I'm looking at these Pioneer 4x6s for the front:
But I'm not really sure what goes in the back and definitely fits. Can I get some advise? I'm looking for whatever will give me the best possible sound.

They're more expensive so I'm prepared to believe they are better. What about rears?

You can do a pretty cheap pioneer setup with similar speakers that you linked. It'll sound darn good, too.
Front Speakers:
Rear Speakers:
5 Channel Amp: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...eries/GM-D9605
Sub(s):
You'll have to spend a lot more to get the "best" though.
Front Speakers:
Amazon.com : Pioneer TS-A4675R 4" X 6" 3-Way Speakers : Component Vehicle Speaker Systems : Car Electronics
Rear Speakers:
5 Channel Amp: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...eries/GM-D9605
Sub(s):
You'll have to spend a lot more to get the "best" though.

Bose, Infinity, JBL, Klipsch, & Polk are traditionally considered the better speaker companies.
