I have a 92 camaro that i am considering putting in 2 12in subs in the rear well. The thing is the glass is right there and takes up most of rear hatch. I have heard of the imoprt guys shattering their rear window and was just wondering if anyone shattered their third gen's rear window with blasting sounds.

Highly Highly unlikely that this will ever happen in a typical third gen. You'll just blow the excess air pressure out of the seals. You'de have alot higher chance of someone smashing it out because they hear your system and want it than of a set of subs ever being able to blow that back glass.

i have poped out my windsheild in my 84 firebird, but breaking that back window is still on my list of things to do...u need a lot of preassure to do that, and with these cars theres not enuf room in the rear well are to great somethign loud enouph to do that, u should be fine, i was running 4 12" mtx 5500's off of an orion 2500D....a little more then 2500 watts rms at 1 ohm, so u should be fine

With that said, I am pretty sure your eardrums would go well before your hatch glass would.

it's very very unlikly that you will create enough force from any kind of amp and speaker combo that you may want to put in your car. the guys with the imports that break their windows put more money in their sound system than they paid for the car. they try and make the most annoying retarded sound system in the world...it's a contest for them...

last fall 2 guys, with a pipe and a baseball bat, busted out the back window on my 91. not sure how hard it was for them...but it sure was fun watching their faces as they were being procecuted...they were dumb enough to do it with witnesses sitting right there that knew who they were...
