recommend me some speakers

HI guys, I just got this amp. Please help me choose some good speakers for the kick panels in a 3rd gen camaro. 2 to 300$ range. Could I also run a 8 or 10" sub off of it too. Thanks, Dean
Here is one that is getting increasingly rarer to find, a Series Vl Hifonics Gemini... and man are these so bad. Not only are they powerful, but their musical quaity is simply to die for. Another marvel from Steven "The Man" Mantz of Zed Audio, the Gemini is a full 4 channel work of car audio art! The amp will run your interior setup and do it with killer performance. If you know the Series Vl line, you know they are a legend across the world. If you have ever had your hands on one of these, you know!!!
Now, like all of the oldschool Hifonics line, you can dismiss the power ratings as they are hardly a true representation of what kind of power this amp makes. Rated at 50 watts rms x 4, sounds more like 100! I am so serious about this. It really is amazing and abolutely steller sq. I just sold a friend of mine a Gemini, and the first thing he told me was how incredibly loud and clean it was! Here are a few of the specs...
Battery- 11.5 to 16 volts (fully regulated power supply)
50 watts rms x 4 @ 4 ohms
70 watts rms x 4 @ 2 ohms
140 watts rms x 2 @ 4 ohms bridged
THD at full rated power from 20Hz to 20KHz- 0.02% !
Slew Rate volts/microsecond- 17
S/N- 110dB! That's right, no typo...110dB
Freq Response- 2Hz to 200KHz
Input sensitivity for rated power 0.25 to 2.5 volts
Variable Crossover Frequencies 50 Hz to 5KHz
All filter slopes 12 dB per octave
Condition of this amp is nice. The only thing worth mentioning is the power led is burned out. No biggy. Other than that the amp is all original. It has never been down or repaired!!
Functionally 100% awesome in every way....Loud, Clean, uncompramising power... nothing less than you would expect from a Steve Mantz. All power/ground and speaker plugs included and are shown in the pics installed. Again, these are getting rarer by the day. If you are looking to build a flat kick butt oldschool system, why not start at the top? Questions? Email or buzz me at 901

Re: recommend me some speakers

i would probably do a custom fiberglass build into the kickies with a good 6" midrange or a component set. if you do the components, MB Quart (a hifonics company) has a killer set of components RVF216 6.5" midrange driver and tweeter component, or audiopipe has a new set of midrange drivers out with neodymium magnets 6" or 8" drivers both have frequency responces of like 60-8000hz and the surround is silk, not rubber like conventional speakers. plan on spending around 300 for the MB Quart or 200 for the set of Audiopipe.

Re: recommend me some speakers

For $300you can get some really good speakers

I would recommend

Boston Acoustics

Image Dynamics
http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=3944

Focal
http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=3111

Soundstream...good value for the $$
http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=4862

You can't go wrong with any of these.

I personally run the Focal 130KF. They are smiply the BEST sounding components I have ever heard. A little pricy but WELL worth the money.
