Old Competition Stereo (IASCA) Pics

Here are a few shots from my IASCA (car audio) competition days.

Door buildouts are custom made. Plexi speakers surround is painted to match the color of the car. Note the q-logic kick panels. Doors have dual 6.5" mids.

Dash has Audio Control EQT equilizers and an Audio Control ESP-2. Control knob for the ESP-2 is built into the cigarette lighter. ALL the AC controls and vents work!!

The three Soundstream Reference amps power the front, door and subs. The subs are Soundstream Reference 10" sealed. The amp cover clears the roller shade. With the shade pulled, you can't see the system.

Re: Old Competition Stereo (IASCA) Pics

that is some nice old school equipment. I remember drooling over those Soundstream and Audio Control pieces when I was younger. Its too bad there's not more competitions up here in New England these days; I finally have a few dollars to get into it and there's nowhere to go now.

Yes, this was an SQ car.

Few more pics.....

I had all the fuse and distribution blocks mounted behind the back seat.

The crossovers were mounted in place of the rear speakers on the pass. side

The two 1 farad caps were mounted on the drivers side

I did quite well with the car (as you can imagine). Have lots of trophys and road trip stories to tell.
