Subs
I am in search for a sub that has good SQ, but I want to be able to turn it up as high as I would like without distorting. I was looking at RF, MTX, JL Audio, Eclipse, Kicker, and Infinity. I know all of these are good brands but I want to have the best SQ. I have read on this board that Eclipse, JL, and Infinity have excellent SQ. I am kinda new at this board so I am looking for suggestions. I joined on the 18th so hi to all on this board. Im looking to not spend much more than $300 on a sub.

I would suggest the IDQ12(Image Dynamics) you can get them in Dual 4 or 2 voice coils and they are sweet subs. For a sealed box it only needs .55-1.00 cu.ft.(won't need much room) and the RMS is 350watts and the Peak is 700watts(can handle what you throw at it). And the S/N(signal to noise ratio) is 90db(it doesn't take much power to push it but if you do throw the power it won't blow apart). At SoundDomain.com you can buy 1 and get the 2nd one for 50% off. That's $300.00 for both.

ID, CDT, Eclipse, or a/d/s/ maybe even JL. Do a search, this topic has been asked before.
ryan, that sounds like a great deal... I might have to check it out...
welcome,

If you want to spend under $300, i second the IDQs. i myself have the Alpine Type-R. for its price (between $120-160), you can't find a better SQ sub. These have been compared to the Infinity Perfects, but can have that extra SPL if ya want. I believe you can also find nakamichi subs for about $100 each. been told they are purely sq, not too much bump.
