Carb help
First, I have an edelbrock 600 cfm carb on my car. For some reason, the throttle seems to be sticking a little lately. This is what happens. If I'm cruising along and I slowly take my foot off the gas, the rpms drop a little then they stick at some point, usually about 1200-1500. But, if I quickly take my foot off the gas it doesn't stick at all. I haven't had much of a chance to check it out, but when I do I'd like to have an idea of what to look for. Could by TV cable be holding it open? I have an electric choke so should I disconnect it and see what happens? Also when it sticks, if I quickly blip the throttle it'll act normal. Sounds like the choke to me, what do you guys think.

Check for interference between the throttle linkage and air cleaner.
Make sure the carb is torqued evenly to the intake. Do not use a thick carb gasket.
Dissconnect the tv cable and work the carb linkage to eliminate the tv cable as a cause.
Install a return spring on the lower part of the carb linkage and anchor it back on the
tv cable pracket so that it is parrallel
with the throttle cable and has enough tension.

I don't know if this makes a difference, but I've had the carb for a little over a year and this has never happened. If you think there is something else I should check because of this fact please let me know. I'm still going to do everything else suggested though. Thanks for your help.
