What jet sizes to run????
ok, i think that the 600 or 650 might just be ok for this setup after all. but, with the lack of fuel at top end, i think it needs some more to help it in the 5000+ area. so, what size fuel injectors should we get to make it run a little better top end?
also, how hard are they to change? can you just unscrew one set and immediately screw in another set? let me know with anything that might be a help for us.
i was thinking that 42# jets or bigger might help......or something a tab bigger----dont want to go too rich with that car.
PS, how much do a set of jets usually cost????

Jets = Carburetor. $6 per pair
Injectors = Fuel Injection. $300 per set of 8
Different worlds.
If you are running lean at high RPMs and you have a fresh carb on the engine (no mechanical problems with it) then it is 50 times more likely you are simply running out of fuel pressure to feed it properly at high RPMs. A check for kinked/blocked lines, a bigger fuel pump and a high flow fuel filter will work wonders.

To rejet, you need to disconnect the fuel line, remove the fuel bowl, unscrew the installed jets and screw in the new jets. Go up two sizes from what's in there now, see how it runs. Adjust from there.
Two things, though: 1) Make sure you're getting fuel, as Damon said; 2) if the carb is a 4160 model, you have a secondary metering plate, which doesn't have replaceable jets.

What they said... Just need to add that we can't give a specific jet number because the best jets for your car are only going to be found by trial and error.
